TraceoLab, University of Liège, announces a fully funded PhD position in functional analysis of stone tools with a particular emphasis on residue analysis and experimental archaeology.
We seek candidates with a Master’s degree in Archaeology or equivalent field (with a Master’s thesis topic related to prehistory). Previous experience with technological and/or functional analysis of stone tools is considered desirable.
We are looking for candidates with an excellent track record, good writing skills, and proficiency in English. Applicants should be prepared for travelling and lengthy research stays in South Africa.
