We seek a scholar who combines work with human or nonhuman primates with components of the “omics,” broadly defined. The ideal candidate will combine laboratory work in areas such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, with long-term field research on primates or collaborative work with descendant communities. Potential areas of research interest include, but are not limited to: the genomic architecture of phenotypic variation and adaptation to the environment; the genomics of population biology, evolution, hybridization, and introgression; the influence of the social and physical environmental on biological phenotypes, including at the molecular level; and the relationships between the genome, bodies, brains, and behaviors. The candidate will join the department’s highly regarded Center for the Study of Human Origins.
