Required Qualifications:
Doctoral Degree(foreign equivalent or higher degree) in Geosciences or Archaeological sciences or closely related field by June 2022. Experience with the operation of basic laboratory instrumentation (centrifuge, fumehood, etc.). Experience in operating luminescence readers and generating, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data. Willingness and ability to work under filtered low-intensity laboratory lighting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in dating on pottery, art objects, burnt flints, or others. Experience in using field or laboratory-based gamma spectrometers or other equipment for dosimetry would be very advantageous. A keen interest in natural sciences and archaeology. Experience with fieldwork/museum and sample preparation procedures. Experience in using the DosiVox program or equivalent to reconstruct radiation transport in complex depositional environments. Experience in mineralogical and geochemical characterization techniques. Participation in outreach events and activities. Coding skills in Matlab and R. Possess a keen interest in instrument design and the development of new analytical techniques and methods.
