Minimum Qualifications:
1) An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Anthropology or other closely-related field from an accredited institution (or equivalent) is required; however, applicants nearing the completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered. The doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment (August 18, 2022)
2) Evidence of scholarly potential, including but not limited to publications, conference presentations, and funding.
Preferred Qualifications:
1) Evidence of research experience in one or more of the following areas: environmental archaeology, zooarchaeology, CRM, archaeobotany, ethnobotany, landscape archaeology, and geoarchaeology.
2) Evidence of effective teaching or potential for effective teaching.
3) Demonstrated potential to work with and mentor a diverse student population.
4) Demonstrated experience in the field and potential to develop fieldwork, research projects, or community projects with students.
5) Regional area of focus is open, but preference will be given to those with experience working in the Great Basin, California, and/or the Southwest.
