Faro : Interdisciplinary Center for Archaeology and Evolution of Human Behaviour
The core mission of the Interdisciplinary Center for Archaeology and Evolution of Human Behavior (ICArEHB) is to develop an integrative understanding of past human adaptations. We seek to establish interdisciplinary perspectives to address key aspects of our human journey. Our research focus on three main areas: African archaeology and Human Evolution; Prehistoric Coastal Adaptations; and Development of Complex Societies (see more details here).
Established in the University of Algarve (Faro, Portugal), we offer a collaborative and dynamic work environment that combines national and international scientists working on a range of archaeological questions and expertise.
ICArEHB is now inviting potential candidates for Researcher positions. Expertise is open, though we are particularly interested in proposals that integrate archaeological science approaches, particularly in the areas of geoarchaeology, proteomics, isotopic analyses, and morphometric development analyses of artefacts.
